Northwest Art & Air Festival, Friday and Saturday, Timber Linn Park, 900 Price Rd. SE., Albany. Hot air balloons lift off each morning around 6:45 a.m. (also on Sunday) from the south end of the park. The Night Glow takes place at dusk on Friday, weather permitting; see the hot air balloons illuminated while tethered to the ground. Parking for the festival on Friday and Saturday is $10. Back-to-School Health & Resource Fair, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Linus Pauling Middle School, 1111 NW Cleveland Ave. Free and open to anyone in the community. Available services include: Operation School Bell (clothing and hygiene kits); dental, vision and hearing screenings; sports physicals; kids vaccines; school registration; backpacks for kids; community resources and booths; and cultural events (music, dance, art). Big Fish Fest, 5 - 8 p.m., PRAx, 470 SW 15th St. An evening dedicated to celebrating some of the world’s most majestic ocean predators: sharks. Music by Outer Orbit, food and drink, scientific materials and videos, all followed by a contemporary jazz-accompanied dissection of a deceased shark from the beaches of Oregon. Admission is $22 ($10 for OSU alumni), and $5 for students (free for children). See here for the schedule and to purchase tickets.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Majestic Theatre, 115 SW 2nd St. William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” presented by Majestic Theatre Youth Production. Rated G. Tickets are $15 adults, $13 children, and available here.

Yard Sale, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., 6675 NW Mt. View Drive. One person's trash is another person's treasure. The money will go to projects like Benton Special Olympics, American Legion, etc.
Adventure with Dogs, Peak Sports, 207 NW 2nd St. An in-store adoption event with SafeHaven Humane Society takes place from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and a first aid clinic for adventure dogs takes place from 12 - 1 p.m. See here.
