FRIDAY, NOV. 14
Black History in Benton County Tour, 2 p.m., Corvallis Museum, 411 SW 2nd St. Learn about the Black pioneers of Oregon’s early days who faced discrimination yet made Benton County their home in this 45-minute tour inside the museum. Register here, $5-$10 suggested donation.
Exhibit Reception: Philomath Open Studios Tour 20th Anniversary, 5 – 7 p.m., Philomath Museum, 1101 Main St., Philomath. Enjoy light refreshments and wine as you explore artwork by this year’s artists, and see special pieces from past participants. Artwork will be available for purchase, benefiting both the artists and the museum. See here.
OSU MFA Reading Series, 5 – 6 p.m., Main Meeting Room, Corvallis Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave. Hear from one poet, one fiction writer, and one nonfiction writer currently pursuing an MFA at OSU.
Lantern Walk, 6 – 6:30 p.m., 333 NW 35th St. Join Deutsche Schule Corvallis for this event inspired by St. Martin’s Day in Germany. Children and adults share light through the night by walking and singing together. See here to register.

“Taste the Nations” International Food Event, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Imagine Coffee, 5460 Philomath Blvd. A culinary journey exploring vibrant Turkish delights, hearty Ukranian traditions, savory Syrian dishes, and sweet Afghan desserts in support of Corvallis for Refugees. Citizens of the Universe, 7 p.m., Old World Deli, 341 SW 2nd St. A “Birthday Party for Kristin” featuring Citizens of the Universe and a DJ set by JJ Dyn-o-mite. $10; proceeds go to local music and color guard programs. See here.
OSU Fall Choir Concert, 7 p.m., Detrick Hall, PRAx, 470 SW 15th St. Performances by the Oregon State University choral program, including the OSU Chamber Choir, Vocal Ensemble, Bella Voce and the OSU Meistersingers. E.E. Wilson Shotgun Range Grand Re-Opening – Veterans Invited, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Camp Adair Road. Veterans are invited to the grand reopening of the shotgun range at E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area. The renovation was inspired by a group of Veterans who regularly visited the old range and spurred ODFW to make it more welcoming and accessible for everyone. See here.

Harlem Quartet, 7 p.m., Detrick Hall, PRAx, 470 SW 15th St. Chamber Music Corvallis presents Grammy winning Harlem Quartet, which has earned acclaim for its dynamic performances and fresh approach to classical music. The Lightbox Happy Hour at 6 p.m. features a pre-concert talk from Instructor of Music History, Dr. Kimary Fick, titled “From Tradition to Innovation: Diversifying the String Quartet Canon.” Tickets are $30-$40, $5 students. Nov. 29 – Rock the Holidays Aaron Meyer Christmas Concert, 7 p.m., Ashbrook Independent School. A benefit concert for Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care, the local non-profit hospice provider serving Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley for 45 years. See here for tickets.
Dec. 4 – Luke Borchelt and Antwane Tyler, 7 p.m., Garland Nursery. Rising country stars Antwane Tyler (from the Pacific Northwest) and Luke Borchelt (from Maryland) bring their performance to the festively decorated greenhouse at Garland Nursery. A 21+ event. See here for tickets.
Dec. 5 – Assistance League’s Winter’s Eve Corvallis, 5 – 9 p.m., Madison Avenue. An evening of shopping, food, drink, raffle, and silent auction. Proceeds serve children, young adults, and their families in Benton County. See here for tickets.
Dec. 6 – Corvallis Holiday Parade, 6 p.m. The Holiday Parade returns and is back with a new route along the waterfront in downtown, traveling along 1st Street toward the Christmas tree at 1st and Jackson.
