How to Meditate, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., online. A gentle, progressive mindfulness training from Marigold, the OSU Center for Contemplative Practice. Highly relevant to beginner and experienced meditators alike, it is open to all and free. See here.

Advent Recital, noon, First Presbyterian Church of Corvallis, 114 SW 8th St. “Serenade for the Season – Two Harps and a Flute” with Laura Zaerr and Jeff Parsons on harp and Diane Hawkins on flute. Admission is free and bag lunches are welcome.
SOL Fall Flea Market, 12 – 5 p.m., OSU’s Student Experience Center Plaza, 2251 SW Jefferson Way. Come support students, artists, and small businesses selling clothes, jewelry and handmade crafts. SOL Flea Markets are designed to showcase and uplift student vendors and creators, with a focus on QTBIPOC voices. See here.

2025 Champinefu Series: “Indigenous Placekeeping through Tarweed,” 7 – 8:30 p.m., online. Join Molly Carney, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at OSU, in this virtual presentation about Camas and Tarweed cultural practices in the Willamette Valley. Molly has worked closely with the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde and her studies have found food source evidence dating back 3,000 years. Free. See here to register.

Local Folk!, 7 – 9 p.m. (doors open at 6:45 p.m.), Troubador Music Center, 521 SW 2nd St. The Corvallis Folklore Society’s open mic program gathers on the first Thursday of every month, offering an open stage for folk music performers from the community.
