Train Bridge across Marys River into Avery Park collapsed and a Cargo Train is in the River.
I don't have details but saw this on a Benton County Scanner Facebook Page. Happened Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025. Here are two photos. See update below.

UPDATE: According to the Corvallis Gazette-Times, the trestle buckled and a spokesperson for Portland & Western Railroad said the train car that fell into the river was “carrying urea — a chemical compound used in skin care products and fertilizer.” Environmental agencies and cleanup contractors have been notified.
